1. Responsibility: As the owner of my dog, I am solely responsible for my actions and the actions of my dog both during the consultation and in the future. I agree to disclose any known behavioural challenges, medical conditions, or risks associated with my dog before participating in any consultation or class. This includes, but is not limited to, aggression, reactivity, fear-related behaviours, or a history of causing harm to people, animals, or property. Failure to disclose such information may result in the cancellation of services, and any associated fees will be non-refundable.

2. Liability: I hereby hold harmless Perfect Paws Behaviour Solutions, their agents, employees, and other individuals involved in providing the service, from any and all liability for any loss, damage, or injury to persons, animals, or property arising from or related to their actions, my pet, or my pet’s actions.

3. Commitment: I understand that to see improvement in my dog's behaviour, it is essential to follow the advice provided and implement the behaviour plan as provided in the consultation(s), making the necessary changes as recommended. I acknowledge that if I do not follow the advice, my dog's behaviour may not improve.

4. Training Methods: Perfect Paws Behaviour Solutions uses modern, reward-based training methods and adheres to a "do no harm" philosophy. Punishment-based or aversive training methods are not recommended and will not be used by us to train your dog. If aversive methods or equipment, such as shock collars, prong collars, or choke chains, are used, or if other services that undermine our training plan and progress are engaged, we may terminate our agreement and cease providing further services. This is because such methods are likely to hinder the effectiveness of our training and compromise the progress made. In such cases, no refunds will be issued for unused services or classes.

5. Training Packages - Booking Policy & Expiry: Our training and behaviour support services are delivered through structured packages designed to provide continuity and progressive results. To get the most out of your program, consultations are generally expected to be booked at least once a month. Spreading sessions too far apart can interrupt the training process and reduce the effectiveness of behaviour change. In cases where there are long gaps between sessions, clients may see slower progress and may be required to purchase additional sessions to continue working towards their goals. All sessions included in a package must be used within 12 months of the initial consultation. Unused sessions beyond this time will be forfeited and are not refundable.

6. Cancellation Policy For Private Training: Clients are kindly requested to provide at least 48 hours' notice if they need to cancel or reschedule a consultation. If a consultation is cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice, a $75 cancellation fee will apply. ​

7. Cancellation Policy For Group Training & Workshops: Missed lessons or no-shows are non-refundable, and makeup lessons/transfers are not available once a course or workshop has commenced. If you need to discontinue the program, written notice is required at least 7 days prior to the first group lesson or workshop scheduled date to receive a full refund. Refunds cannot be provided for cancellations made within 7 days of the start date unless a replacement participant is found to fill the space last minute. Please note that finding a replacement on short notice is not guaranteed. 

8. Suitability for Group Training: In the unlikely event that my dog is deemed unsuitable for group training due to safety concerns or behavioural welfare considerations, Perfect Paws Behaviour Solutions reserves the right to withdraw my dog from group training classes. In such cases, we will recommend a more appropriate one-on-one training and behaviour program tailored to your dog’s specific needs. Fees already paid for group training will be applied toward private training services. If you choose not to proceed with further training, a partial refund will be provided. This refund will be calculated based on the cost of the individual classes already attended and will include a $50 administration fee.

9. Client Correspondence and Privacy: By providing your contact details, you consent to receive correspondence from Perfect Paws Behaviour Solutions, which may include information about your appointments, updates, and offers via email or phone. You may opt out of receiving offers at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link included in these emails or by contacting us directly. Rest assured, your personal information is kept strictly confidential and will not be shared with any third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law.
