In Home Care & Boarding Consent Forms During your dog’s stay, the following management and care practices will be in place to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and training progress:

Your dog will be handled for training and exercise purposes by your trainer only using force free methods
When left alone, this will be for a maximum of up to 3 hours at a time and no more than 6hrs in a day, in a secure indoor laundry area
Cameras will be used to monitor your dog when unattended
Strict management will be in place at all times to prevent access to unsafe items or unwanted behaviours
Your dog will only have access to dog-proofed areas
Your dog will never be left alone overnight

Exercise & Safety

When off property, your dog will always be on a regular lead or long line to prevent escape or injury
A harness, lead, and safety connectors will be used for all walks
Unfamiliar dogs and people will be avoided, and your dog’s space and safety will always be advocated for
Safety equipment will be carried on all outings in the event of an off-lead dog encounter

Enrichment & Daily Care

Training, exercise, and enrichment will be provided daily to support your dog’s physical and emotional needs
Training sessions and walks will be conducted for at least 1 hour every day during their stay. At other times your dog will have scheduled toilet brakes, enrichment and rest through the day
Dogs will not be left unattended with enrichment items that may pose a choking or ingestion risk, unless pre-approved as safe
Sleeping arrangements will be trialled and adapted based off your dog's comfort levels either in laundry or office with baby gate secured onto the door

Transport Safety

During any car travel, your dog will be secured in the back seat using a harness and seatbelt attachment

We only leave dogs unattended with items that are considered "safe". Please list any items you are comfortable with your dog being left alone with and any items we should totally avoid.

(E.g. safe to leave with Kong Classic with wet food and their regular bed from home)

I authorise Perfect Paws Behaviour Solutions to seek veterinary care for my dog if required. I understand that all associated veterinary costs are my responsibility.

I acknowledge that while all reasonable care will be taken, boarding and training environments carry inherent risks, including but not limited to illness, injury, stress, or escape.

I understand that Perfect Paws Behaviour Solutions is not liable for any illness, injury, loss, or damage sustained during the boarding and training period, except in cases of proven negligence.

I consent to my dog participating in training using force-free, reward-based methods.
